ABOUT WORKING WITH CHETAN SALHOTRA
Who is Chetan Salhotra?
Chetan Salhotra is the founder and lead tattoo artist at Inkspace Tattoo Studio in Hauz Khas Village, New Delhi. He specialises in fine line, realism, blackwork, and cover-up tattoos and leads the resident artist team.
What styles does Chetan specialise in?
Fine line, realism, blackwork, cover-up, geometric, lettering, colour, and anime. His signature work blends storytelling with clean linework and considered placement.
How does a consultation with Chetan work?
A 30–45 minute conversation covering references, story, placement, skin tone, and longevity. There is no deposit to talk it through. Book via WhatsApp or the booking page.
Does Chetan take cover-up work?
Yes — cover-ups are one of his focus areas. He assesses each case on saturation, colour, and feasibility, and will recommend laser fading first when it gives the strongest long-term result.
How do I book a session with Chetan?
Use the booking page or WhatsApp the studio. Most pieces start with a free consultation before scheduling the tattoo session itself.

JOURNEY · PHILOSOPHY
Chetan Salhotra has been tattooing professionally since 2006, building close to two decades of full-time experience behind the machine across nearly every major tattoo style. In 2012 he won Best Black & Grey Artist at the India International Tattoo Convention — his first major industry recognition. He went on to lead media and content coverage for several of India and Nepal's most important tattoo events, including the Heartwork Tattoo Festival, the International Nepal Tattoo Convention, and the Pune Tattoo Festival. In 2017 he founded Inkspace Tattoo Studio in Hauz Khas Village, New Delhi to build the kind of studio he wanted to work in — one where the conversation matters as much as the tattoo. Today he leads the resident artist team at Inkspace and continues to mentor the next generation of Indian tattoo artists through the studio's training programme.
Every tattoo at Inkspace begins with a conversation, not a stencil. Chetan's work focuses on tattoos that hold up across decades — clean linework, considered placement, and meaning the wearer can stand behind in twenty years. He treats each piece as a collaboration, not a transaction.

- "Restraint reads as confidence — the best tattoo is rarely the busiest one."
- "Placement decides whether a tattoo ages well; design alone can't save bad placement."
- "Cover-ups are won in the consultation, not at the machine."
