THE STUDIO

SPACE MAGIC. ART WITH A PURPOSE.

Inkspace wasn't built just to tattoo people. It was built around a belief — that when art, precision, patience and passion come together, something almost impossible to explain happens. We call it Space Magic.

Inkspace began in 2017, but the story started much earlier. Chetan Salhotra had been tattooing since 2006, building his reputation as an artist before deciding to create a studio of his own with his wife, Swati. What started as a dream became a tiny space in the chaos of Hauz Khas Village — and then became Inkspace.

Almost a decade later, that little studio has become a name people recognise, trust and return to.

Built through the work

There was never a shortcut.

Every year brought new challenges, but the answer was always the same: make better art, work harder and keep moving forward.

From a small fine-line tattoo to a demanding realism piece or a difficult cover-up, we believe every tattoo deserves the same thing — attention, focus and patience. We don't measure our work by how quickly it gets done. We measure it by what walks out of Inkspace when we're finished.

More than a tattoo studio

Our story doesn't stop at the tattoo chair.

Inkspace helped create Space Gully, turning an overlooked corner of Hauz Khas Village into one of the area's most recognisable and photographed spots. We worked with our neighbourhood and local community to help improve the surroundings we call home — because we have always believed that a business should leave something good behind.

That same rebellious, creative spirit eventually found another expression through Jealous B*tchez — a clothing brand born from the real-life attitude, battles and humour behind the Inkspace journey.

Almost a decade in, we're still here. Still creating. Still pushing. Still believing in the magic of making something your own.

That's Space Magic.

THE TATTOO STYLES WE'RE KNOWN FOR

Fine line, realism, black & grey, cover-ups, minimal and custom — every style below opens a real portfolio of work from Inkspace.

WHY INKSPACE

BUILT ON TRUST.
PROVEN ON SKIN.

A small studio in Hauz Khas Village doing custom tattoos the slow, considered way — here's what that actually means.

Tattooing since 2006
Chetan Salhotra has been tattooing full time for close to two decades. That experience is the foundation every resident artist at Inkspace is trained under — from machine tuning and needle selection to how a line should sit under real skin over ten years, not just on the day it's done.
Consultation-first
Every custom tattoo starts with a real conversation about reference, placement, size, healing and long-term wearability. Your artist drafts the design, we refine it together over WhatsApp or in the studio, and only then do we book a session. Nothing is tattooed the same day as the first consultation.
One client at a time
The studio runs strictly by appointment. No walk-in queues, no shared benches, no music you didn't pick — one client, one artist, one focused session per slot. You get the calm environment a good tattoo actually needs, and your artist gets the space to do their best work on your skin.
Medical-grade hygiene
Every needle at Inkspace is single-use and opened in front of you. Every reusable tool is hospital-autoclaved between clients, every touchable surface is wrapped in disposable barrier film, and every ink cap is thrown away after your session. It's the same medical-grade standard we've held since the studio opened in 2017.
Cover-up specialists
Reworking old ink is a craft of its own. Chetan and the resident team plan cover-ups so the new piece reads as art in its own right, not a rescue job. When a direct cover isn't possible we say so honestly — sometimes 2–4 sessions of laser lightening first give you a far better final tattoo.
Custom, never traced
Every piece is drawn for you. We don't run flash walls, we don't copy other artists' work, and we don't reuse designs across clients. The tattoo that leaves the studio only exists on your skin — designed around your idea, your body and how it will age over the next decade.
Aftercare that actually works
Healing decides how a tattoo looks for the next ten years, so we treat it as part of the tattoo. Every client leaves with a written aftercare plan, product recommendations we actually use, and a WhatsApp line to the studio for the full 30-day healing window. The full protocol lives in our aftercare guide.
Trusted across Delhi NCR
Recognised as one of Delhi's leading black & grey artists (2012), Inkspace has quietly become a destination studio for clients travelling in from South Delhi, Gurugram and Noida. The reputation is built on repeat clients and word of mouth — not aggressive marketing.

HONEST ANSWERS

TATTOO QUESTIONS, ANSWERED.

The real questions we get every week at the studio — cost, pain, healing, cover-ups and booking. For the full list see the Inkspace tattoo FAQ.

Where is Inkspace Tattoo Studio located in Delhi?

Inkspace Tattoo Studio is at 13-A, 1st Floor, Space Gully, Hauz Khas Village, New Delhi 110016 — a quiet appointment-only studio in South Delhi, a short walk from Hauz Khas metro station and easy to reach from Gurugram and Noida.

How does the tattoo consultation process work?

Every custom tattoo starts with a WhatsApp or in-studio consultation. We discuss reference, placement, size, healing and long-term wearability, then send a design brief and quote before booking a session. Nothing is tattooed the same day as the first consultation.

How long does a tattoo session take?

Small fine line or minimal tattoos take 45–90 minutes. Medium black & grey or realism pieces take 3–5 hours. Larger custom sleeves and back pieces are split across multiple sessions spaced roughly 4–6 weeks apart to protect line quality and pigment retention.

How much does a tattoo cost at Inkspace in Delhi?

Pricing depends on size, detail, placement and session count. Small custom pieces typically start around ₹4,000; larger black & grey, realism or cover-up work is quoted by session after the consultation. We share a written quote before booking.

What tattoo styles does Inkspace specialise in?

We specialise in fine line, realism, black & grey, cover-up, custom and minimal tattoos. Every piece is drawn from scratch for the client — we do not run flash walls or copy other artists' work.

How should I prepare for a tattoo appointment?

Sleep well, eat before you arrive, drink water, and avoid alcohol or blood thinners for 24 hours. Wear comfortable clothing that gives easy access to the placement. Follow the aftercare plan we send after your session for the best healing.

Can Inkspace cover up an existing tattoo?

Yes — cover-ups are one of our specialities. We plan the new design so the old ink disappears under considered linework and value. Some heavily saturated tattoos need 2–4 laser sessions first; we tell you honestly at consultation whether a direct cover-up is possible.

Is Inkspace a hygienic tattoo studio?

Yes. Inkspace uses single-use sterile needles, hospital-grade barrier film on every surface a client touches, autoclaved reusable equipment and disposable ink caps. The studio has held the same medical-grade hygiene standard since 2017.
